Abbeyfield commissioned Re-Format to convert & extend the listed Hatch Mill buildings into a 36
bedded Care Home with Nursing. Sally Tidy the Chief Executive Officer noted that “Re-Format having been the architects behind each project and have excelled in their performance with innovative designs to ensure the properties full potentials were reached. The Care Home with Nursing was built around an old listed mill, therefore the new build which
was approximately 60% had to be in keeping with the old, this was done in a very complimentary way whilst ensuring that maximum space was utilized. The large open spaces are appealing, light and bright whilst there are other smaller rooms to facilitate more private meetings. The home has been extremely popular with existing and prospective Residents a lot commenting on its excellent design. Since opening, the home has always maintained occupancy of over 98%
